I received Arts Council (England) funding to pursue an R&D art-science investigation called SNEEZE.   The aim of this project is to develop an artistic response re-presenting the common allergy hay fever and to highlight pollen’s beauty and malevolence in an informative, engaging art experience. First-hand data will be collected through collaborations with scientists involved in pollen forecasting and SEM imaging, together with medics and patients who are undergoing treatments for hay fever to emerge into a body of art works through animated film, drawing and sound installations.  The underpinning science and data will act as a visual catalyst to reach a variety of different audiences including  patients, scientists, students of science and art and  the public in local community spaces through exhibitions, a series of actual and virtual postcards, talks, seminars and general interactions.
